When you think of Warsaw the first place that comes to mind is the viewing terrace on the 30th floor of the highest Warsaw building, the Palace of Culture.
Personally I don't enjoy the views there that much. Whereas they truly encompass quite a bit of the town, they strike you mostly as a monotonous landscape. Warsaw seems flat, there's hardly anything that stands out, especially from this height. There's little possibility to admire details.
Therefore I prefer lower buildings which offer smaller bits of the town, yet at the same time present a more cameral and detailed picture of the given area.
And so here we have the view from the bell tower of St Anna Church, right beside the Old Town.
From up there you can have a closer look at the Old Town, the Royal Route, as well as some of the quarter on the right bank of the river.
Now that the town starts to turn to the river and the water tourism industry has been gaining popularity, the deck of a tourist ferry has become an excellent place to admire the skyline of the Old Town, as well as enjoy unusual look of the Warsaw bridges and spy on the social life on the Wisła banks.
Some good vantage points are less widely accesible.
